Sparkly butterfly update: The pink face paint got too smudged and a desperate measure was taken. Let's hope the magic marker designs wash off quickly!

Halloween!

We sure need to get a new camera! This webcam stuff just doesn't cut it when it comes to Halloween and things like that.

As you can see, this Sparkle Fairy Butterfly designed her own costume, and glued the sparkles and glitter flowers onto her dress.

There are many reasons. (I'd sure like a house elf. I'd never make my house elf shut his ears in an oven door. ) This is just a few.

We are taking suggestions for white board topics!

How about a blast from the past? Here's Maggie in 2004!

Maggie hasn't updated our daily white board yet. The topic will be wizard related.
Josh writes an in-class essay today, Maggie has pizza day (tomorrow's a PA day! woohoo!) I WAS going to go back to bed with a vampire book and a heating pad but Maggie forgot her backpack so I'll take that to her now.

Zombies! Eeek!

A festive, holiday themed list:
(phossy jaw)
(three headed dog)

In other news, we picked up a new filing cabinet at our favorite boutique furniture store (behind the dumpster!) and Maggie wants to quit drama because it's boring and all they do is sit on the floor and listen to each other repeat the same lines over and over. Way to go drama teacher!

Maggie says:
Well, it didn't hurt at all getting my stitches out. Even though you would think it would. So I went to my Dr Star and she was really nice and she really helped me. I went with my dad. We had to wait-- well, he thought it was an hour but it was really 45 minutes. After the doctor came in, she looked at my stitches and she said "Ill be right back" and she came back 5 minutes later with a tray with tweezers and scissors on it. After she showed the tray of scissors and tweezers, she started poking my stitches with the tweezers.
Then she said "Ok." to herself. Then she took the scissors and started cutting very gently. She went very slowly and almost cut off my lip skin. But she didn't cut my lip skin and within a couple of days it was all better.

See?

dogs, blood, dirt, potato salad, etc

Prepare for minutae of Awesome Family! First up, we'll hear from Girl, on losing the battle of lip vs pug:
Today I had to go to sick kid’s hospital because I cut my lip when my dog bit it. It really hurt and was bleeding a lot. When my mother came, she put a towel over it. We went in a cab to sick kid’s emergency room and then the lady at the counter said there was construction going on in the emergency room. It has taken three hours to get my lip fixed, so far. I had to wear my towel for an hour and a half and then I got a mask to put on, and that mask got all bloody and wet so I got a new one. So I am saying this message and my mom is writing it down.

That was a week ago, the cut is mostly healed and the trauma of stitches is nearly forgotten in a blur of fudgesicles, waiting room photo booth and a gory show-and-tell.
